Some images from an Alaska Forest Fire that was burning the tundra and some hills south of Selawik in north western Alaska. Images of a lighting started fire on the tundra. Aerial photography of gold mining and the impact it has on the riverbed.
Aerial false color infrared images from Denali National Park in Alaska and the impact of receding glaciers as the National Park is seeing higher summer temp. and less annual rain and snow fall causing the glaciers to get thinner and recede higher up in the mountains. The impact of global warming is very evident and easy to see in these aerial photographic images from the park.
False color infrared photography is also used in showing water drainage in small Alaskan villages and human impact on the tundra.
The health of trees can be seen when studying false color infrared photography.
