Paul Andrew Lawrence has photographed the effect of Global Warming having brought on change in Alaska over the last 20 years or so. His aerial photography and his very low altitude aerial photography illustrate some of the effect on rising temp. and smaller amount of summer rain and less snow fall in the winter. The glaciers of Alaska are melting at an accelerated rate. The glaciers are getting thinner and they are melting at a rate that is faster than the annual snow fall. New land is coming to light for the very first time! New lakes are formed, the valley floor bring forth barren ground for new plant life.
Alaska is changing.
